I am fully trained in the art of pregnancy ultrasound scanning and have years of experience in dealing with in whelp bitches. Having had the occasional litter myself you firstly wonder and hope that your dates are right and that your bitch has taken at the time mating, this then turns into worry as to how many puppies your bitch maybe carrying. At the time of whelping, usually in the middle of the night when you are cold and tired you wait in vain for one more puppy, do you dare return to your warm comfortable bed, or remain with your loyal companion in hope that she will whelp all her litter with you by her side.
Ultra-sounding is not an exact science, but can be a very useful tool in estimating how many puppies you can expect. It has proved to be beneficial time and time again. Re-absorption and shadowing can also play a key factor in in whelp bitches this will be discussed with you at the time of scanning. Also phantom pregnancies can be diagnosed early. In all mobile scanning is an invaluable asset to the hobby breeder or the more experienced. I am CRB checked for your peace of mind and experienced in the handling of many varieties of animals. Before scanning commences I gain the trust of your pet with patience, care and time. All done in the familiar surroundings of your home. Re-scanning is sometimes necessary if fetal evidence I’d difficult to find. This is negotiable at the time of scanning. Scanning is best done between 28 and 34 days
